Dialogue A

A: How about the tennis? We could try and get some tickets.网球比赛怎么样？我们可以试试买几张票。

B: I think I prefer badminton(n.羽毛球). I’d rather go to the badminton.我想我更喜欢羽毛球。我宁愿去看羽毛球比赛。

A: Ok. I’ll check for tickets. 好的。我看看能否买到票。

You can talk about the finals, the semi-finals and other stages of the events at the Olympics.

A: One of my friends is going to work as a volunteer（n.志愿者） during the Olympics. 我的一个朋友将作奥运会的志愿者。

Passage

One man in a boat

Fishing is my favorite sport. I often fish for hours without catching anything. But this does not worry me. Some fishermen are unlucky. Instead of catching fish, they catch old boots(n.靴子) and rubbish(n.垃圾). I am even less lucky. I never catch anything-not even old boots. After having spent whole morning on the river, I always go home with an empty bay.' You must give up fishing!' my friends say.' It's a waste of time.' But they don't realize one important thing. I'm not really interested in fishing. I am only interested in sitting in a boat and doing nothing at all!
