Dialogue A

A：My son wants a baseball cap with the Beijing Olympic logo. （我儿子想要一顶带有北京奥运标志的棒球帽。）

B：I know where you can buy them. （我知道在哪里可以买到。）

A：And he also wants a sweatshirt with Beijing 2008 on it. （他还想要一件有北京2008字样的汗衫。）

B：No problem. We can find them in the sports shop. （没问题。我们在体育商店里能够买到。）

Dialogue B

A：I’d like to buy some new shoes. （我想买双新鞋。）

B： What kind of shoes do you want? （你想要什么样的鞋?）

A：I want really stylish shoes, with high heels. （我想要买时尚一些的鞋，高跟的。）

B：Look at these shoes in red leather. They’re made in Italy. （看那些红色的皮鞋。它们是意大利制作的。）

Dialogue C

A：I’m going to buy my husband a leather jacket.（我想为我丈夫买一件皮夹克。）　

B：What size is he?  Large? Extra large?（他穿多大号码的衣服？大号？还是超大号？）

A：Large should be ok for him. He also prefers black leather. （大号应该就可以。他还喜欢黑色的皮衣。）

B：Let’s have a look in the shop. I’m sure you’ll find a good one for him.（咱们在商店里转转。我肯定你能买到适合他的衣服。）

Sold out

'The play may begin at any moment, 'I said. 'It may have begun already,' Susan answered.
'I hurried to the ticket-office. 'May I have two tickets please?' I asked. 'I'm sorry, we've sold out,' the girl said. 'What a pity!' Susan exclaimed. Just then, a man hurried to the ticket-office.' Can I return these two tickets?' he asked. 'Certainly,' the girl said. 'Could I have those two tickets please?' I asked. 'Certainly,' the girl said, 'but they are for next Wednesday's performance. 'I might as well have them,' I said sadly.
