B: Oh, does he play the piano?

A: No, he doesn’t! He plays the trumpet. So, what kind of music do you like?

B: I like rock a lot.

A: Who’s your favorite group?

Dialogueⅱ

A: I have tickets to The Phantom of the Opera on Friday night. Would you like to go?

B: Thanks. I’d love to. What time is the show?

B: That sounds great. So, do you want to have dinner at 6:00?

A: Uh, I’d like to, but I have to work late.

ⅤPASSAGES

Things you can do to help the environment

·Products

Don’t use disposable products. If you use disposable products, use products made from recycled materials. Also, recycle whenever possible. Recycling one aluminum can saves enough to run a TV for three hours.

·Energy

The biggest use of home energy is for heating and cooling homes. So turn the heat down. Replace regular light bulbs with fluorescent or halogen bulbs, which use less energy.

·Water

Showers use a lot of water. In one week a typical American family uses as mach water as a person drinks in three years! Buying a special “low-flow” shower head or taking shorter showers can cut this use in half.
